Can all hard water stains be removed from windows?
Most mineral deposits can be removed. If minerals have been etching the glass for years, restoration can dramatically improve it but may not make it perfect. That's why we start with a test area and show you the result before doing the whole job.
What causes orange or rust-colored stains on windows?
Usually iron in the water, most often from sprinklers running on well water. Iron stains need a different treatment than typical white calcium spots, so tell us what you're seeing when you request a quote.
How do I prevent hard water spots on my windows?
Re-aim sprinklers away from glass, fix gutters or downspouts that splash onto windows, keep up with regular cleanings so deposits can't build up, and consider a protective glass coating like the one included in our Protective Plan.
